My mother recently won $5,000 on a Video Poker machine at Boomtown, Nevada. Obviously, she got a royal flush but it was a SEQUENTIAL royal flush – the five cards appeared in sequential order – 10 clubs, jack clubs, queen clubs, king clubs, ace of clubs from left to right. What was amazing is she only held the queen of clubs in the center position and the other four cards came out in sequential order for a royal flush. Does anyone know the odds of getting a royal flush in that EXACT order? By the way, a regular royal flush, not in any order, only wins about $400 on that slot machine.
